[Daugherty] Trotz says there are lot of scenarios involving how to handle Saros and Askarov. Trades with either, keeping one or the other, signing Saros long time, going with Askarov, or keeping both. Sounds like everything is on the table at this point.

Um, nothing is on the table lol. The deadline was 2pm.
I see no reason why we can’t have a Boston type tandem until Asky gets expensive.
On another note, Trotz needs to go take a nap. He sounds like me by the time Friday rolls around between work and school.
Trading Askarov would absolutely be the wrong move
Just line Askarov up as a defenseman with Josi and they can duke it out who gets to play the two way game. Solid obvious solution.

I get it. The tandem is fuckin juicy. We could compete on that alone. But the pieces we need would be best acquired by trading one of them. We want to have our cake and eat it too and are in a weird version of purgatory where the right answer and the wrong answer are hard to tell the difference between the two. All of this is exciting though because this team really could be special if we just manage to blindly navigate this correctly.
