@Vegas Golden Knights

My son’s special needs team has been pushed off the ice since the VGK took over operations at the former Pepsi Ice Arena. Please take a moment to read/watch and share if you can.

    What a horrendously one sided article written from one perspective only. The Knights have expanded the sport by leaps and bounds within the Vegas Valley.

    One of the sticking points of this article was the cost of gear for kids to learn the sport but yet it makes zero mention that the learn to play program gives FREE gear to the kids in that program. That’s right, all the gear paid for by the Knights organization. Pads, helmet, stick, skates.

    Ntm, the cost for ice time for kids to practice is actually cheaper and far more organized than it was previously. Hylo is a complete mess of a rink and poorly run. The knights will make this rink into a top tier program.

    The reason for less ice time is because there are so many more people involved in the sport of ice hockey and skating due to the Golden Knights that there isn’t enough time to go around. Instead, you’d like to continue having this one place reserved for a very specific ice hockey program whereas now that the Knights have given this rink some legitimacy it can be used by far more people.

    Absolute BUSH LEAGUE story 100%.
