NJ Devils Fall To Carolina Hurricanes 4-2

The New Jersey Devils lost to the Carolina Hurricanes by a score of 4-2 on 3/9/24 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

They showed life throughout the game, but ultimately came up short.

I discuss the game and a few other random topics in this video.

  1. Much better energy and less defensive breakdowns under Green. But as usual we blame the goalie. What about the joke of a powerplay? We refuse to dump and chase because they are soft! What about Jack Hughes missing an open net and giving up the puck so easily? The main core has too many finesse players. They won't beat future playoff teams like Carolina

  2. The devils forwards aren't willing to dump the puck into the corners and playing that style of hockey. You won't beat the Carolina's or Florida's trying to carry the puck in. Can Luke Hughes please stop doing that move on the power play, its painful to watch. Nobody else in the league does that!

  3. I hate those jersey jerseys . I wonder what the team stats are when wearing that horrific uniform . I wish they stick with stadium jerseys . They rock

  4. Daws should have stopped 1st and 2nd goal. You can't win in the NHL without NHL goaltending. Should have been a 2-1 win. How many 2-1 wins do we have this year, btw? 😂😂

  5. The devils were afraid to shoot the fucking puck again! Defense wasn’t aware like wtf? 🤬 this is not sponsored by Rwj barnabas health. It’s really sponsored by rwj barnab ASS health. Ps don’t go to the garden you won’t be able to stand up for yourself

  6. That 2-1 goal was atrocious. Totally sums up this season.
What would be the point of miraculously getting into the playoffs with the goaltending and soft line-up on this team. They would just get swept.

  7. If they don't trade their 1st round pick, chances are their drafting a goalie with it. I know they still need to acquire one, but I'd still draft another one.

  8. I grew up in Florida. If the Devils do not make the playoffs then I am rooting for the Florida Panthers to win it all finally. Plus I always root for whoever plays against the Rangers and the Hurricanes.

  9. I’m going for the Canadian teams in the playoffs. Edmonton is my pick to win it as of now. F the Panthers.
The Blue Line Trap kills this team and I’m not sure why they keep doing the same shit to enter the O-zone. Those two shots that hit the pipes were the game winners. Even though there only 12 seconds left, would have been nice if Jack didn’t pass to a Canes player.
Not much has changed since Green took over.
How are people questioning the Curtis pickup. We needed a “bodyguard/goon” and he is it. I’m ready to watch him smash Trouba hopefully. Whoever he fights against the Rags, they better not turtle.

  10. The only consolation is that the Devils played hard and were in the mix with the Canes again this year just like last year. If the Devils could only clean up this mess.

  11. What do you think about ex Devil Jay Pandolfo? He did great job as development coach and asst coach with Bs and is doing great at BU.

  12. Stop me if you've heard this before, they gave up the first goal of the game again, the 47th time they've done that this season, our goalies couldn't come up with clutch saves, they gave up two more empty-netters and they came up short against a better team. Terrible.

  13. Ownership is not as impetuous, irrational, and illogical as many fans are. They won't let unchecked emotions cloud their judgement. They'll meet at season's end and review & evaluate Fitz and make a determination on what was the gm's fault and what wasn't. His fate will be determined at that time. In my opinion, the one GLARING mistake that Fitz made was over valuing Schmid. Probably not a fireable offense though. In the end, ownership will stay the course…..correctly. #staythecoursekeepfitz.
