  1. Of course, TiredMan didn't say if Torts was right or wrong. He's been whining about his upcoming wk off & speaking terrible English for several days. Imagine if he had to mangle 2 languages.

  2. This is an usual twist. It's rare that anyone stands up to Tortorella. I loved him as Rangers coach, and his relationship with his players can be construed as tough love, but he's objectively just a bully to the media and refs. Wes McCauley has been around almost as long as Torts (started playing in 1993) and is a senior official whose not gonna take the abuse from Torts. He called that penalty with a little extra conviction in his voice.

  3. When refs act up, there's no discipline on them, nor would they receive any penalty afterwards. They have all the power and rights on the ice but nothing is holding them accountable. This needs to change.

  4. FROM TAMPA BAY: WE LOVE YOU TORTS NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO. NOW GO UPSTAIRS AND HAVE YOUR REAL REUNION WITH YOUR 2004 TEAM. THEY'RE UP THERE SMILING AT YOU AFTER THAT PERFORMANCE BUDDY AND THEY LOVE YOU TOO.

  5. Perhaps a 60 million dollar fine payable within 10 days will help him see the error of his ways. Lol

  6. NHL desperate to blend in with American Sport processes so in any situation a coach can be ejected vs. a debate with the ref, he's gone! Proof of the nonsense is the statement from one of the broadcasters saying in 2004 this wouldn't have been a game misconduct. "This stuff went on a lot more". What a joke. Completely end the argument in a call now or else.

  7. how can you get in trouble for words how big of babies are these refs, who do they think they are and how is it even a rule to be able to throw out a coach this isn't novice aged hockey

  8. Torts is his own worst enemy. His temper outweighs his value and it gets in the way of his accomplishments. But thats the kind of person he really is. As a Ranger fan I remember his style and Im glad hes not around my team anymore.
