The San Jose Sharks acquired forward Klim Kostin from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for defenseman Radim Simek and a 2024 7th-round pick (Originally from the New Jersey Devils). Kostin should add more size to the Sharks bottom six and is signed through the 2024-25 season.

Bad trade, he’s underperforming and that’s why he’s being bounced around and not even finishing out a 2 year contract on the Red Wings. Sharks are not impressing me with a lot of these trades. Sharks are not great at developing players at this point, so getting underperforming players from other teams is not a great move. It’s like they enjoy being in bottom 3 each year.
