What A Run For The Rangers

Today we discuss the historic 10 game winning streak by the New York Rangers. As well as some NHL news. The New York Rangers lost last night to the Columbus Blue Jackets ending the heater. However, the teams offense is finding its groove at the right time. The production from the bottom 6 is a beautiful sight to see.

Matt Rempe has made his stamp on the NHL in his first 5 games in the NHL. Igor Shesterkin has found his game and looks fantastic. Jonathon Quick was solid for the Rangers during the stretch as well.

The New York Rangers are 1st place in the Eastern Conference in the NHL. They found ways to win in big games throughout the stretch. The Stadium Series game was one of the best hockey games we saw.

  3. I love Rempe but he can't fight every game. At the end of the day this is hockey not boxing. I'm all for fighting in hockey and think that it should always be an element of the game, however I'm starting to get really sick of fighting for nothing. This stupidity of talking before the game and challenging somebody to a fight before anything even happens is nonsense. Also fighting another player because he delivered a clean hard check on someone is complete nonsense. Fighting should only take place when somebody runs the goalie or applies a dirty hit. Checking is legal in hockey so I don't know why so many people are getting butt hurt when somebody gets checked hard. I know he's a rookie so he's not going to back down from fights when people challenge him but it is getting out of hand. There's only so many punches one can take every night or every other night as shown in the Columbus game that had him woozy. I like the toughness this kid brings but he also needs to use his brain a little. I'd like to see him actually turn down a worthless fight.
