The arrogance of this tweet is insane. Montreal we’re completely outclassed by Tampa and lost in 5. It wasn’t even close. Meanwhile, the islanders lost in 7, and dominated Pittsburg and Boston prior to that. Unless an injured Carey Price became an islander, he wouldn’t have a cup.

People constantly say shit like this and then call us some of the most whiney fans when we say something back
Maybe if the Montreal front office could have found an 80+ point player at some point in Price’s career he’d have a ring, but it definitely wouldn’t have come from beating the 21 Isles
Tampa barely squeezed by the isles and then Tampa flattened the canadiens.
Why do we care what some rando thinks
We were robbed of the cup that year in that game 7.
Trotz would’ve stuffed Ducharme in a locker in that series. Isles in 5 at the absolute most.
Who cares? This is offseason nonsense. We have a big game TODAY!
Those two runs still haunt me. If the islanders faced anyone else. What could have been.
The Islanders were a better version of that years Canadiens, in no world do the Canadiens beat us.
Dude is salty as hell responding to every comment on the post. Reality is that Tampa only narrowly squeezed past the islanders and Carey Price was unbelievably injured, probably would have lasted more than 5 games but I have no doubts that the islanders would have won.
It would’ve been really close. The Isles didnt have the fire power that ultimately was too much for us to handle. A grindy bo7 wouldve probably ended in your favor because of how damaged both Weber and Price were, but it would’ve been quite the finals.
He did say it would have been a fraudulent win. I assume he means they would literally have to Tonya Harding half of our roster.
Funny I always think of it as the year we were 2 goals short of a Stanley cup lol
We would have swept the Habs
