NHL Recap

  1. wouldn’t call the pens a letdown, not surprising when the oldest team in the league sucks

  2. Congrats to the Hawks for being first eliminated. Leading the league in the tank for two first overall in a row!

  3. Everyone can abuse the LTIR rules. But the league needs to peg the salary cap as post-tax and use profit sharing to stop teams in high tax markets getting gouged. Like, I think I saw somewhere that Cale Makar is estimated to make the same post-tax as Connor McDavid. I love my Avalanche, but that's not right by Edmonton. And it's also not right that a lot of teams from tax-lax states are winning cups this past decade.

  4. its funny u guys know we will get the top pick again right and still have a ton of cap space? wont be laughing in the next two years when bedard shits on all your teams

  5. dude is trying to be Goat for NHL and im kinda here for it hope you can fine-tune your craft and make good videos to come.

  6. Duclair to Tampa was also a really big deal, he ended up with some points the next game…with Kuch doing so well they may jump back into a good playoff spot.

  7. Bedard can be stopped by checking him like Stevens did Lindros. It's obvious the league won't allow players to lay him out.

  8. I think the poignant post game interview with Sidney Crosby after the Guentzel trade and 6-0 loss to the Caps a notable happening last week.

  9. Love this weekly round up even though you are always horrible about my Ducks. Some day you will have something positive to say about them! 😊

  10. trade deadline was interesting FLA and LV did well on the trades worth 50K fine and 2 games..

  11. The NHL has a coach-recycling problem… this perpetual game of musical chairs is ridiculous – shifting coaches from team to team until they go on a hot-streak – it's a huge drag on organizations that have the pieces they need to do well, but get stuck with some old, has-been coach that has no idea how the game is played any more. Coaches can be past their prime, just like players, and the whole "experience" thing isn't working out for a lot of these guys. Torts is a PRIME example of a grouchy old man who has zero concept of how the game has evolved since he was relevant. STOP HIRING these guys, and start bringing coaches up from the smaller leagues, so we can start developing them instead.

  12. LEAFS have always been and will continue to be the biggest frauds in the NHL . Canucks may have a chance to go deep .

  13. Is there anything ELSE this NHL season has become? It's something different every other week on this channel Lol.

  14. ..Did you just call Sid "the GOAT"?

Man. We toss that term around way too frivelously. He isnt the GOAT. Not by any metric.

  15. Wes McCauley thinks he is the Show. Sorry, nobody goes to a game to watch him screw a game up with a Cocky Attitude. He was never good enough to play at that level.

  16. How has it "become a mess" when your title literally every week is something akin to "the league has never been this chaotic before ever"

Your work is quality man, believe in yourself. Dont need to resort to the worst, least descriptive, most click baity titles

  17. Ever since the covid shortened 2020-2021 season, the NHL has been by far the softest league in professional sports and it is embarrassing. Because of this I will admit my love for the game is still there but it is certainly not as strong as it was before. Ofc I will always support the caps my number 1 team whether I like or dislike the game in general but the game itself certainly isn't as enjoyable as it once was. Everything about the league the last couple years is soft with mediocre officiating, butthurt fans whining and complaining, the toxic culture being well more known than in past years with a lot of new shit coming public, the league front office and their punishments to certain individuals or organizations, the lack of toughness or grit in teams, too much scoring with everyone getting 100+ points nowadays instead of only some, showing how the physicality and edginess is dramatically reduced, among many other things.

  18. We all know mark stone is gonna come back the first playoff game and they are gonna go back to back

this is coming from an oilers fan

  19. The golden knights gaming the system needs to be stopped. I dont know if raising the cap is the answer to solve that problem. It solves a lot of problems for the nhlpa, but it seems silly that ltir is used so improperly

  20. Bro as an Avs fan I gotta say they went fuckin NUCLEAR on Wednesday, ironically the same day the fallout trailer came out so who knows maybe that had something to do with it lol but getting rid of Bowen Byram for a TRUE 2C and Ryan Johansen who wasn't working out in exchange for a pick and an improvement on defense mixed with the guys they picked up on Thursday with the likes of Yakov Trenon from the preds on top of Val coming back makes the Avalanche an already very dangerous team even more dangerous and just like 2022 they might just be the NHLs hero in stoping the Vegas Golden Knights in the WCF if not the NHL will go nuclear themselves
