The Washington Capitals pick up a huge two points over their bitter rivals in the Pittsburgh Penguins by a score of 6-0. The game saw goal from Tom Wilson, Alex Ovechkin, Sonny Milano, Hendrix LaPierre, Nick Jensen and Ivan Miroshnichenko. Charlie Lindgren pitched a shutout, and the Capitals fans have a lot to be happy about. Earlier in the day it was announced the Capitals lost rugged defenseman Joel Edmundson for some draft picks

    I L O V E the 6-0 beat down. I do. And here are my takeaways from that game; keep Lindgren and sign him.beyond this year. You have a good 1-2 in net keep it going as much as you can. No need to trade Patches (unless you can get a 2nd round pick in return) let him help you make a push for the playoffs. Sandin looked great after inking a contract with the team. Miro looked more than ready to play at this level. The Caps need a season to season. They aren't going to be cup contenders now or for the next season. But they can be. Sooner rather than later.

    We’re a house divided. I’m a Caps fan and my wife is a Pens fan. The Pens won the Cup on our wedding day and again on our anniversary. Always good to have a win like this. 😂

    Damn, I hadn't heard that about Wilson's father. So sorry to hear that. Kudos to him for playing and scoring a goal after losing his father.
