Can’t really compare the Tarasenko trade. He only wanted to go to Florida and had a NTC. Ottawa had to take whatever they could get.
Henrique fills so much of what Edmonton needs and likely the best fit player available at the trade deadline. As an Oilers fan, he's worth the 1st round pick.
Also, love hearing you guys call him Rico. Oilers fan keep calling him Henrique, I'll let them know it's Uncle Rico.

Always been a fan of Henrque, and he's still got game. Looking forward to seeing in EDM, along with Carrick, bringing his sandpaper. I'd never turn away a heart player like Sam.

Great vid as always and glad you are feeling a bit better! Sad to see Henrique Carrick go but we all know their time was short. The Ducks now have two firsts and two seconds this draft so even more to look forward to! The youth movement continues! If anyone is keeping tabs on Gauthier he hasnt just been hot he's been full blown super nova! Lots to look forward to in the coming seasons!

First of all, it's great to hear you're doing better, so please take your time to recover!
On the trade situation, I think so far it's been a win for all. We got great picks for the future, the players the chance to finally play in the playoffs (as deserved), and the Oilers valuable key players.
On the current roster, I believe it's not too bad of a situation. Yes, some players should get more experience, but they're definitely training hard for their comeback. Plus, some other players will show their ability and their development. At the end of the day, we're not aiming at the playoffs, so it's great to see some new faces in the lineup!

I dont like this trade.Both Carrick and Henrique are some of the best face off guys we got. I could see Henrique going, though not happy about it, but Carrick provides some grit the Ducks need, great at faceoff and hes relatively cheap on the salary cap. What dd we get for it? I first round choice from a top tier team? I justdont like it. We should have got more.

The reason the return for Tarasenko was so underwhelming is because he has a full NTC. Florida was pretty much the only place he'd agree to be traded, Staios had no leverage so it was a take what you can get situation.
In the NBA the draft sequence after the lottery teams is determined solely by the regular season standings. For some reason the NHL punishes the Stanley Cup finalists with putting them 31 and 32 in the draft. So enjoying Perry, Carrick and Henrique having playoff success might be hurting our draft position.
As a Ducks fan I AM SICK OF TANKING AND FINDING SILVER LININGS IN LOSES.
