Sounds like he’d be the 13th/14th forward unless they’d play him above Rempe, in which case I’d rather have Rempe

I always get this guy confused with Barbashev in Vegas, whose brother we drafted in 2022 (5th round). In other words, we’ve already got a Russian Barbie at home.

This is going to be looked back as a really solid deadline for Drury and I think a lot of it has to do with the sharks totally blundering themselves and patches opting to stay put.

Barb is literally horrible with top line mins and has garbage underlying metrics. He probably improves significantly on a real team with a real coach, but I won’t lose sleep over not having him. He’d most likely replace Rempe in the bottom 6 (assuming roslovic was still acquired) which would have been a terrible decision.
If Drury got him instead of Ros that would have been catastrophic

We got what we needed and last night showed that I think some people forgot the Wennberg deal because it wasn’t on deadline day but both looked like easy fits .Mika was more noticeable yesterday and Wennberg is going to unlock Kaako.I also believe Kaako knowing the front office has confidence in him has to be a boost
