‎VGK Insider Show with Ryan Wallis and Daren Millard: Questioning The Integrity on Apple Podcasts

Ryan Wallis & Chris Chapman of the VGK Insider Show absolutely BLASTED Paul Bissonnette on the 2nd half of yesterday’s podcast after Paul very foolishly questioned what the VGK have been doing in regards to the salary cap as legitimate, and calling Stone’s injury “suspicious.” Ryan completely destroyed Paul & the chiclets’ comments by calling it “absolutely ridiculous” that you would question these kinds of things as a former player himself, and destroyed Paul’s “league should be investigating this” comment by saying the true reality that we all know is the case, but apparently nobody else does… the league already did, and approved it. Chris brought up a pretty important piece of NHL legislation too that shows the rules the VGK have been following were approved in a 31-1 vote by both the NHLPA, and the league themselves!!

Fast forward in the podcast till there’s around 9:50 left in it to hear the soundbites from Ryan & Chris, I promise you’ll like what you hear!

I wish the NHL themselves would say something like “we have looked, it’s all good” – but obviously they won’t as they don’t really comment on such things and want the option to succumb to press/fan pressure on the future and change a rule/”close the loophole” etc.

While I get irritated with inaccurate info such as “they had Stone in the Game 1 of the playoffs 3 years now!” Even though VGK missed 2022 playoffs so couldn’t have even if they had wanted to and the fact we HAVEN’T reached 2024 playoffs yet. So you can’t say one way or the other, so at worst it’s 1/3 even if the conspiracy was true.
Where are all the “innocent until proven guilty” people who were defending Corey Perry and other people, who have since been proven to be cheaters/gamblers/harassers etc? Hmmm?

There is no point in replying to comments though, as GOLD TEAM BAD, and it just degenerates to you don’t know hockey/what about the draft/Bettman’s Pet/Vegas Gambling money too big and other trash takes.

    *Big sigh*

Haven’t listened yet but I said something along these lines in another thread: I used to kinda like Biz and those guys but I think running with this narrative shows they’re no longer serious people. They’re just chasing views/clicks by perpetuating manufactured drama.

I’ll go a little further with other thoughts as you also mentioned Bissonnette being a former player and should “know better.” I think the idea that an athlete competing in the highest league for their respective sport would willingly *not compete* for a quarter of the season is just bonkers to me and goes against everything that I know about the type of mindset it takes to get to that level. I think Biz entertaining this notion says more about the type of athlete he was than the type of athlete Stone (or any other VGK team member) is. Either that, or he really is simply selling out his authentic viewpoint to drive views.
