The Wings blew it again. Just like the Islanders game that started this losing streak, they fail to show up on time but come back to tie it in the 3rd period not once but twice and still find a way to lose in regulation. With the lack of consistency they've had all season despite a much superior roster than last year, I'm wondering if it's lack of experience or if Lalonde is just not the right guy for the job or both.
Jack Roslovic and Alex Wennberg both played really well in their Rangers debut.
as a lightning fan, that was a much needed win. if the Islanders lose tonight we gain even more ground on them and can sneak into the playoffs as a WC

Torts still out playing chess and not checkers. The worst ref in the league loves to show his arse in Tampa and I am happy that Torts made him look like an absolute clown. The Bolts have been playing incredibly tight since the All-Star break. Hoping the new blood brings some levity and relaxation in that locker room. It certainly looked like it last night. They still have some juice in that roster.

As a Flyers fan Torts refusing to leave was hilarious. Heās absolutely gonna get fined & it would be so funny if Jones or Hilferty came out with a statement saying āHey we donāt agree with the ejection & we will be paying the fine.ā EDIT: Hilferty not only made a statement backing Torts he also said heāll pay whatever fine the NHL gives Torts!

One thing about the philly game thaf i didnāt hear mentioned was the 13 F 5 D lineup and general defensive breakdown that happened as a result. 5 D where 1 is marc staal, 1 is ronnie attard (nothing against him but he shouldnāt have played this season, heās low down in the depth pool), and one is EJ who has never played (or practiced i think) with philly, was always going to be a disaster. of course it did not have to be that bad but a win wasnāt possible for the flyers.
Wings collapsing and this Sabres fan is all for it. If Buffalo is going to miss the playoffs, I would be glad to also see Detroit miss, since their fans were already calling their rebuild a success two weeks ago š
Holy crap we needed that win so bad. Marchy the VGK GOAT with the hatty. Also Shannon not quite sure how youād say Detroit outplayed Vegas for large portions of the game . Vegas outplayed them for the first 2 periods . Just stupid single mistakes got Vegas in trouble but they pressured way more. The 3rd a bit different but still were the better team most of the game.
Wouldn't put to much faith in the shots on net. If you count them yourself the arena count is way off. Especially in Ottawa where it's 20 nothing Sens before the puck drops.

With Torts getting tossed. All wes mcauley had to do was go to Torts and talk to him. Instead he took the scared cat position and stayed at penalty box. Could have easily diffused situation. Not a Philly fan but Refs again were terrible. Since all star break it seems refs are impacting too many games!
