McCarty is insufferable
Taking the Red Wings +1.5 goals to cover tonight. I don’t have confidence that they’ll make the playoffs this year because they are on a 5 game losing streak and Larkin is out for another week or longer. They might make it next year.
Playoffs are a different animal. Should have kept building the team. Going to be a quick exit for nothing. Just like keeping that 25 year playoff run going. Holland was making foolish trades just to keep the team in the playoff run and it cost adding years to the rebuild. Fans need to be more relaxed about playoffs. Yzerman has made solid draft choices. Give it time.

Yzerman was delt with absoulte prior garbage contracts, no minor league system. Had to get draft capital. He had to build all of ken hollands mess from scratch.

I was @ the Vegas game: I realize you can’t blame the refs all the time, but in the Vegas game the one ref was terrible clearly letting obvious penalties go right in front of him for Vegas and called crappy calls against the Wings… The other ref was good though. Still they need to persevere no matter what if they want to make playoffs. Fans were loud and behind them in Vegas. Hopefully they will be in Buffalo tonight 💪

People are acting like all it takes to win a championship is for Stevie Y to knuckle down and do it. It doesn’t work that way…other teams, the schedule, and injuries all have something to say about the wings winning. Calm down and be patient. As long as he/they don’t make any terrible, bone-headed decisions then it’ll happen when it happens and there’s no need to sweat him. Be patient.

The issue this year playoffs or not is how the team played in December. He is the one who signed big names who are great players. We need defense. Maybe rest Lyon too a couple games or maybe not. There was not an affordable defensive player in the league last summer. At least as far as contracts go. Because as Darren said, Steve has still been paying off horrible contracts that Ken Holland made. We have 18 games left. There's still time.
