  1. They should send him back, to help Laval, and he can start a new season with the Habs and be a Calder trophy contender.

  2. He has a future with Habs. Learning to win in the playoffs would help him more than 12 minutes a night in Montreal.

  3. Laval for certain…get laval into the playoffs if possible send both him and Arber..Habs season is toast nothing truly matters other than continuing development

  4. The thing is, what if they make a trade and get rid of someone like Armia or Anderson? Then they will need Roy even more, and his minutes will go up.

  5. The kid is just getting his footing, scored his first goal last night- don't mess with momentum! Leave him be!

He's not going to save Laval from themselves, and should not sacrifice precious NHL ice time.

Give him a solid taste of NHL ice, so he knows EXACTLY what to work on over the early off-season. That will give him 6 months to be ready for october. Then see what you've got, if this boy is willing to bust his butt over the summer.

(MSL needs to make it very clear to his players- what they do this off season, is going to decide the next season for each team member. Be ready to play 65 minutes of all-out hockey every game)

Roy should continue to work with athletes who are faster stronger better than him at this point. He's broken through.

If he slides backwards? Then consider sending him to laval – but I don't see that. This kid is in control. Not a liability

Don't punish him for getting his first goal!

I started watching him January – one of three Habs not Puck watching during the Boston massacre game – set Armia up for an easy goal. He did not come out with a negative +/- rating for that game.

Wasn't sure if he was brought up to give him value for the trade block? Because Habs would give away a diamond in the rough that doesn't "fit their system"
    🙄

He's averaging about a half a point per game lately, playing limited minutes and he's in control of himself – don't think he's been in the penalty box yet.

Starting off an NHL career with appendages in control, can make a great two-way player down the line. He needs to get using that wide body to hit and forecheck, but he can beef up to 200-205 lbs like a hulk and get some roller derby lessons in this summer

I watch a lot more Habs then you know – I don't dare say anything!

Because one day the Habs love a player when they win

the next game they want to shoot them!

    A lot like 🐻

  6. I must have been in a coma when Roy was nominated for the Calder with all this talk of spectacular Rookie play.
Put this in perspective he scored his 2nd goal of the season and think it would have gone in if it hadn't deflected off the Dmans block?

  7. I personally believe that Joshua Roy is our Best prospect at his age or younger … that includes # 20…

Joshua has proven himself at every level

    Junior
    AHL
    And Now the NHL

    THIS IS PICTURE PERFECT development!!!!!

    Nothing given everything EARNED

While I want to see Laval make the playoffs the Rocket team is a Train Wreck

    Keep Joshua Roy in Montreal

  8. I think hes an NHL player. Going back to Laval for him wouldn't do anything but hurt his confidence. The Habs arent making a playoff push so why not? Hes also played good in the NHL. 7 points in 17 games isnt bad. Thats a 34p in 82 pace. Considering his sheltered minutes as well i think keep him.
