  1. It's to bad he fit in well on 4th line. But they gave him a good go. Hopefully he can succeed. The 4th line has seemed to win a lot of battles this year

  2. I realize this is a minor deal in the big picture. But I do NOT like this deal. Leivo brings more of what the Leafs need than Ennis. We already have 3 better versions on Tyler Ennis on the squad. Leivo was an absolute pro through everything tho. Hope he kills it in BC

  3. Josh Leivo = healthy Joffrey Lupul = A very good player. I am very surprised. 2008 – 2013 is Brian Burke draft pick in 2011 (86th overall).

  4. That tweet about Sprong was BRUTAL 😂 now he gets to go hang out with Randy “Good one” Carlyle. Poor guy, he just couldn’t find a groove with the Pens but as a Penguins fan I can honestly say that almost no Penguin has found any kind of groove or swagger this season (save for Crosby these past couple weeks). So maybe it wasn’t his fault. And for Leivo, I don’t love that move. The Leafs are not exactly loaded with grit and size and guys that can dig pucks out of the trenches, Josh would not have been the player I’d have moved but then again I’m not a GM and never will be. Just always liked Leivo’s play and he really was pushing the play on the 4th line

  5. Leivo was an awesome pro for the past 3 years. I think this was a trade to give Leivo his chance on a team that will hopefully use him and let him have a chance to show what he can really do.
Hey Steve, love the impression of Babcock.
    Great job.

  6. One downside for losing Leivo is that the leafs lose some grit that could have been beneficial during the playoffs, the skill for the leafs is obviously there but a rental like Simmonds could really add some pure toughness

  7. So, @SteveDangle ……21 teams are out of it. To be honest, ~ half the teams are in trouble. I've recently started thinking fewer teams would make a better game and better players. In fact, lets make two leagues! One skilled, fast and dainty (No hitting or fighting of course); and the other, skilled, fast and gladiators. Naturally, we will pay one more than the other because it makes sense. Further more, I know which league I'm watching.

  8. A player from Ontario playing in the Q isn’t uncommon, it’s actually very common. Also Sprong has been known to be a cancer to be around. A coworkers brother who I used to play with, played on his wing in the Q and he wasn’t well liked there

  9. Can’t wait to see what he can do. Good player but we’ll see how much of a good player he is now

  10. Leivo scores in his first game with Vancouver!!

If Leivo was given the same opportunity that Ennis did playing Mathews at the beginning of the season, he would have done so much better then Ennis who failed terribly!!

Sorry to see Leivo leave, because he is 5 inches and 31 lbs bigger the Ennis and he has some grit/sandpaper, something this team needs!!
