  1. The NHL’s dirty little secret out in the open is the inconsistent discipline handed by the Dept of ‘Player Safety’.

  2. You said it right, it's the 1st time I agree with you. It's not the 70s 80s and 90s version of hockey, it's a sissified version of hockey. You would have them play with skirts on. These men know exactly what they signed up for and it wasn't for sissy lala hockey. Old time hockey coach, break out the tin foil. I would love to see the Rangers trade for Tom Wilson and listen to everyone lose their minds.

  3. don't need or want rempe on the team , idiotic buffoonery went out 30+ years ago , when the euro game really started to take hold in the nhl ,, wiser to have a skilled player on the roster than a goon , trade him to the jets ,,they could use a tight end = for a player to be named later –

  4. but why are you crying so much. No message sent. Big body in front of net end of story. this game has been so pussified. Oh wait lets all wear are PRIDE gear that will make all happy

  5. Pk slewban slewfooted and completely blew out blais knee 2 seasons ago and nothing happened, tom wilson ripped panarins helmet off, grabbdd him by his hear and threw his head into the ice and got a fine. Yet we have someone lay people out and they cry so he elbows a player and its 4 games funny hpw that works 2 games was pushing it. He used his elbow and its suspendsble no question but 4 is overblown. I guess after crying for 3 to 4 years of trouba leveling players they had to overdo this. The devils needed an excuse for their mediocre joke of a team.

  6. I think they gave him 4 to send a message to tone it down. Alot of incidents in a short time frame. They'll never admit it, but i'd bet the wave at the end didn't help his case here at all and was probably a reason for an extra game or 2. If there was some remorse shown after the hit or answered the bell and fought, probably only gets 2 i think

  7. I mean it was a clear head shot. Not sure why people thought this wasn't appropriate. This is exactly what the NHL is trying to get out of the game

  8. The fact we have people crying about physical hockey shows how soft hockey has become. Might want to get out the skirts and not let them have contact at all make it just who is faster and can get to the puck.

  9. "An acknowledged enforcer, Dave Semenko was Wayne Gretzky's "on-ice bodyguard" early in Gretzky's career in Edmonton, beginning in the WHA in 1978, and ending when Semenko was traded to the Hartford Whalers in 1986. Semenko is considered one of the toughest players ever in the NHL. After Gretzky won a car for being chosen as the MVP of the 1983 NHL All-Star game, he gifted the car to Semenko to show his appreciation for his on-ice work.

Semenko fought boxing legend Muhammad Ali in an exhibition on June 12, 1983.

After brief stops with the Hartford Whalers and Toronto Maple Leafs, Semenko retired following the 1987–88 season. He finished his 575-game NHL career with 65 goals, 153 points and 1,175 penalty minutes. Semenko also recorded 70 fights over his career.

Semenko won two Stanley Cups with the Oilers in 1984 and 1985. He was also the last player to score a goal in the World Hockey Association (WHA) before it folded and merged with the NHL."

  10. Kid has heart but not much brains.
He is lucky he wasn't suspended the last dirty hit

  11. He's a goon. Not good. The OG players are gonna take him out…
which he deserves. As long as he comes back by April 4th when they play the Devils again. MacDermand will knock this kid out.

  12. I think it should of been 2 but i think its a matter of the being a message for his entire NHL run so far. But once again the DoPS looking so inconsistant.

  13. 4 games for a one time offender is a little excessive. 2 games would’ve got the message across. The other 2 are pointless.

  14. Suspension deserved. Hopefully he learns. He definitely seems to be a better player than you’re giving him credit for though. Uses his size and reach to win puck battles and does a good job in the crease blocking the goaltenders

  15. 1. Laviolette came out and said Rempe elbow was not intentional.

    2. Suspension was still deserved, he has to learn.

    3. Rempe is a good hockey player, he not only a goon as you say. His presence in front of goal tenders is legendary and his forechecking is great. Hope he cleans up his game a bit and continues on the team.
