I hope Quinn has a good game. He seems to not play as well against Colorado. I think Makar may be in his head…of course the Avs are are pretty good team so maybe that's all it is! Let's go Canucks, for Quinn!!
I think Av's fans are complete Richards
Nvm. Hughes has more points than makar. Hughes might get it actually this time.
Well, i think you kind of said it yourself. Makar is expected to play at a certain level meanwhile this is a bit of a first for hughes. Which is why in my opinion makar will probably end up being the better long term defenceman.
But im wondering if he can keep it up next year or will the league figure him out and shut him down. And lets be honest no one expected Vancouver to be anywhere near as good as they are this season. So is this a new Vancouver team or a weird fluke season…have to wait till next season to find out imo.
It’s annoying to see some people say Hughes isn’t as good defensively. Pretty clear they’ve never seen a canucks game. They’re both incredible but Hughes is just better overall this year
I really like both players, but Quin just keeps getting better. I have seen more of those moves that make you say Oooh when Quin is on the ice. People just like Makars power game. Quin is a ankle breaker. And Colorado has had a much better team than the Canucks barring this season. I myself think Quin is a tad better so far this year. With his puck control he controls more games than Makar.
The Avs without Makar means they're still in the post-season and maybe making some noise.
The Canucks without Hughes will be competing for a top-5 pick.
Oh Captain, my Captain
At least the norris isnt going to a trash dman like erik karlsson again.
With years of talks with a close friend (avs fan) the argument that ended our debate. "Would you still have this debate if they were drafted in reverse? Quinn to Colo, Makar to van?"
It would be the same argument in reverse because Colo got better faster
As a Canucks fan since ‘01, Makar is way better than Hughes.
I’m a Canucks fan and I don’t think the Canucks are better than the Avs. Makar is fortunate to play on that team. Quinn does more with less and the Canucks would sink without him.
Both are well deserved to be the front runners. Im just excited to see them both light it up and the race to the end
Hughes has more points, better +/-, played more games, just simply better this year.
Who cares about the Norris? Quinn Hughes will win the Conn Smythe.
Bring it on!
Quinn is a better skater, he’s the closest thing to Bobby Orr iv seen. Cale plays a completely different style then Hughes and I honestly think they both amazing in different ways. Just imagine if these two ever lined up as a pairing. It would hands down be the greatest duo to ever touch the ice.
Makar is better
When Quinn Hughes has the puck, he consistently outclasses the players around him. He just always seems so calm and able to find a way to find an outlet to do something unique. Finding his confidence to shoot more this year has only elevated his options and put teams on the defensive. For a guy who is rarely caught out of position this is rare.
lol Hughes 0 points tonight. Makar 2 points tonight. Can blows 3-0 league but yes Quinn is better 😂. You guys keep living in the twilight zone.
Makar is so much better in every reguard, this is actually kinda an off year for makar and he still probably wins it. Hughes rise has been impressive though
