Looks like Makar and Toews had a bad, bad game. Makar to me has been bad lately in general. But the bright side to me is the new kids all played on a line and looks like they dominated.

I turned this game off after the first because it was late as hell, but I remember thinking, "they are either gonna get shut out like 4-0 or come back and win. No in between." Glad it was the latter.
Also, I really didn't have a big problem with Georgiev in this game. Obviously, two goals and two shots is unacceptable no matter how you slice it, but the Miller goal was a perfect deflection from three feet away. First shot or 50th shot, that's probably going in 99% of the time. The second one Mikayhev was wide open, left all alone, in the low slot and banged in a one-timer. Like I said, I get it, two goals on two shots and even three on 26 or 27 whatever it was isn't good, but I thought he made some big saves in this game to prevent it from getting out of hand. Canucks could have scored five or more goals by the end of the second. Don't get me wrong, he needs to be better, no doubt about it, but I just don't have as big of a problem with him in this one.
EDIT: I forgot about that missed poke check. That was bad, for sure. The rest I guess I didn't really see cause I caught the highlights of periods two and three.

This team went from second round at best to legit cup contender in a week. Brilliant deadline moves and the best may have been just getting Johansen as far away from the team as possible.
