The Virginia arena proposal depends on $1B+ in taxes and fees generated at that site — but those figures rely on aggressive assumptions, according to an analysis commissioned by Gov. Youngkin’s cabinet that has not been released to the public. (WAPO)

$75 parking spots and $800 a night hotel rooms are some pretty wild assumptions to make, and that’s ignoring that they’re also expecting to put on as many events as Madison Square Gardens, too.

  2. Youngkin’s private equity background is finally good for something – he can see through Ted’s bullshit #s. Of course, Youngkin’s tune will change when Ted slides some cash in Youngkin’s pocket.

  3. He could easily sign the recreational cannabis bill that sets up shop fronts and use that tax money to build the arena. But he wants taxpayers to foot the bill. Billionaires are assholes.

it depends on wizards playoff revenue

hint that won’t happen anytime soon

I think the new arena proposal is sinking like the Titanic.
