  1. Not seeing any prospects called up for even a look is so frustrating. I feel like this was a perfect opportunity to see Marco.

  2. Tarasenko went for such cheap because he had a full NTC and was only willing to go Florida. Was I pissed about the return at first? Yes. But the more I think about it I cant criticize Staios as much as I want to since Dorion was the one that signed the contract and put Staios in a hole.

  3. Defense looked absolutely pedestrian at best but realistically it was nonexistent. How were we being outsped by their entire Avs roster?! not just Nate. Letting so many odd man rushes and just losing races with them charging straight at our net. Easily Seiders worst game of his career. Bad penalties. No puck possession either. Plain awful.

With what it took for Vegas to get Hanafin, I can’t imagine why Steve wouldn’t be willing to pay that, and I really wish he would have. Would really help our D-core. I hope it was Hanafin not wanting to sign here, and not that Steve didn’t want to pay, because that cost wasn’t bad at all tbh.
At this point I’m just really hoping Steve doesn’t see these past 3 games, and the Larkin injury and decides to sell
Friday is a MUST win. So is the head to head game against the islanders in a week or 2

  4. The problem with Holl is not just his contract. It also includes Kosin's contract as we have 2 players who in total take us up to 5.2/Mil. Of course, there are many teams that have some form of dead weight or "depth" in their rosters this is clearly noticeable when a team grows.

RW is not a team that far into their rebuild where this more naturally occurs when teams reach the play offs and get close to the ceiling in terms of cap space and have to use LTIR. We're talking about a team that has a goal of reaching "maby" the Wild Card spot, a team that might be able to take the team to the playoffs, by playing meaningful games.

We also are talking about players who are signed to add depth to the team and make the team better, S.Y did that great. But how does our GM think that those two players should be able to do it from the press box! This is bad business and it's a GM that most praise for his ability to make smart deals. If he can't even give away our excess fat with a topping, then he's proving to himself that he's not the genius that so many believe him to be. Human, Yes but far from a genius as he obviously signs favorable players suggests he is only guessing what will stick on a wall for "next" season.

This also makes it difficult for the talents we have in the AHL and other leagues, as their development is prevented from getting valuable time in the NHL, not even a little taste of 4th line is time, come on Steve.

We give away ice time to Veleno and Rasmussen by given both the opportunity to try 1 line ice time repeatedly (speed & size), it becomes obvious to most that they are both playing beyond their ability and the expectations that come with such time. Of course Veleno and Rasmussen should be in our line up, I like them both, but not in 1 line JESUS.

To me personally, this is poor asset management from our GM Steve Yzerman, hands down.

  5. After Vegas it's five losses in a row.
DeBrincat and Kane have been invisible
Copp after going 0 for February is on pace to go 0 for March . Guess 5 mil doesn't buy what it used to.
Veleno your # 1 centerman? Laughable
The rest have looked like beer leaguers hanging both goalies out to dry. Especially several pylons masquerading as defensemen.
Oh and with the garbage logo 0-5.
