Thursday night, wearing their third jerseys, the Pittsburgh Penguins went to battle against the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks brought on the pressure early, pinning the Penguins in their zone for long periods. After fending off the Sharks, the Penguins went on the attack. Noel Acciari scored first for the Penguins. San Jose answered with two goals of theirs before the end of the 1st. Big Jeff Carter tied the game early in the 2nd followed by a goal from Evgeni Malkin. But once again the Sharks tied the game. Heading into the 3rd, the game was gridlocked at 3-3. John Ludvig scored to take the lead for the Penguins. To lock in the win, Rickard Rakell and Bryan Rust added to the lead. The final score was 6-3 in favor of the Penguins.

If we don't get together a much more "stingy" defense, then we'll never compete within the division, let alone the always tough Eastern Conference.
