    Yeah, this team definitely needs some confidence back.

  2. Really glad we got that win. That 3rd period was rough though – Dallas had us backed into our zone almost the entire time. When we got that goal it felt like so many games where that would happen to us after sustained pressure on the other teams zone.

    Allen was absolutely on fire last night, and you could see how that carried over to the rest of the team’s performance. They’ve needed that goaltending spark for a long time. It felt like real Devils hockey again.

    Stankoven and Stillman had the same amount of points yesterday, clearly the Devils made the right pick

    I’m glad they won and somehow are only 4 points out of a playoff spot. However, for me, the best part of last night’s win was watching them smile. They actually looked like they were having fun last night. Also, Jake Allen and Kk look great so far.

    Side note, I have 3 daughters, 20,18,14 and all are diehard Devils fans, I did something right haha.

  6. Is Timo slowly becoming the tribal chief of the devils?

    Most fun game since the Stadium Series. Took me from “season’s over” to “WE’RE ONLY 4 POINTS OUT LETS GOOOOOOO!”

    I missed the game. Saw the highlights and Allen was mega but how did they play? Seems like we got pretty darn lucky a few times in that game and it really could have just as easily been a frustrating night?

    Im glad Allen finished strong. He was def rusty but he settled in well. Glad Desimone got in tonight finally and showed what he got.

  10. Lots of random thoughts:

    * That was a 0.946 night for Jake Allen on debut. In all situations, he stopped 8/9 high danger, 11/11 mid danger, and 15/16 low danger. (The one low danger he conceded was a tik-tak off his skate, so kinda annoying). I though he looked amazing under pressure in the 3rd.
    * Did somebody tall our forwards that if you elevate the puck you score more? Because it looked clear to me they were shooting glove-side high as much as possible and it worked.
    * Holy advanced stats! Stars out-Corsi’d us 71-33, out SCF’d us 33-14 (scoring chances), and had an xGF of 2.93 to our 2.32. So we overachieved on attack and defense, whilst conceding a ton of pressure.
    * We had zero PP’s all night!
    * I’m worried about Jack. Here’s his night:
    * 23 shifts, for 18:52 ice time
    * 0 face-offs, 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 rushes, 0 rebounds
    * Whilst on ice, we were out-Corsi’d 25-9, out-shot 15-3m out scoring attempted 14-6
    * Per hockeystatcards, his game score was 0.00, 2nd worse on team to Ondrej Palat.
    * Looking at his last 6 games, since his great outing on 3/1 vs Ducks, his game scores have been -0.55, 0.15, -0.17, 0.13, 0.64, 0.00 – vs his season average of 1.06.
    * So what’s up? Is he carrying an injury? If so – wishing him a speedy recovery.
