I think we as Sens fans are still living in the Dorion era – where trades were plentiful at the request of the masses. Can't see any moves this deadline except for maybe Tarasenko. Salary cap is a huge problem for most contending teams. Staois needs to get creative with the lower ranks to remove the goalie mess (with adding picks/prospects/bad contracts back).
Thinking about the deadline i would just hope to unload what we can for assets then this off season sing a Fwd top 9 and bottom 6 and concentrate on a Rd top 4 adlease, and an other depth D preferably another Rd. And call me Crazy but id re run the Goalies with a small Leche. But only if couldn't make a move involving Korpisalo this off season. 😅

Quick note on buying out Korpi we can't!!! Yes we can.. but no its the stupidest move we could do.. 4 years becomes 8 years on the books, that would be ridiculously too long and its gonna bite us so much later on. " Buy outs are more useful in 1-2 years left on contracts. But preferably 1y .

Branny makes sense for Philly given they're expected to trade Sean Walker, so Branny is a similar mold to him as he plays RD too. Might be a decent pickup for them for the end of this season and a potential guy for next season too
It would be crazy to trade your 6'4 physical fourth-line center who wins faceoffs on a team where the only other physical player is Brady and the small-ish Greig

I can see Branny going to a team who had to/decided to give away a D for some picks/prospects and need some NHL caliber talent.
I also think the high picks approach is simpler for most of the players listed. As others have said today, a high enough draft pick is worth a lot on the days leading up to the draft and you could package 2 2nd rounders or a late 1st and a 2nd for a very good player.
So all those that were in love with “the summer of Pierre” how we feeling these days? He turned out to be exactly what I said he was from the start…a glorified scout at fantasy camp playing GM.
