Seems fine return. Biggest win is tanev didnt get injuried which let the trade happen and played that many games this year
seider is a big man that can do stuff. hasn’t shown the flashy stuff as much this season but it’s in there
Dallas needs a goon
Jim Nill is very quietly one of the best GMs in the game right now. No one ever talks about Nill OR Dallas, but this dude drafts well, he signs UFAs, and he signs his own players to team-friendly contracts (at least recently).
Dallas just called up Stankoven and he's tearing it up. But they didn't even call up Stankoven's lineman, Mavrik Bourque, who not only scored JUST AS MUCH as him in the AHL, but is also a true center. Stars are going to call up Bourque soon too and we'll be having this conversation again.
Who keeps letting them get away with this?
Jesus…what are you guys talking about? Treliving just offered a 3rd & a 5th, there was no tax, they didnt have a 2nd to offer. Every thread I saw had Tanev being a 2nd & a prospect. Thats what they wound up getting. Conroy was trying to hold out for a 1st. Only 1st being offered had a bad contract coming back with it. So they like the prospect they got who was a 2nd round pick & they got a 2024 2nd. Sounds like a decent deal to me. Leafs crapped the bed & should of coughed up that 1st if they wanted Tanev so fnnnn bad. They could have gotten Tanev for 50% off plus get anothey 25% off cap like Dallas did.
sorry… not trying to be THAT guy, but Stankoven is literally only being "sent down" to acrue extra cap space. That's all it is. Mark my words. Stankoven is going to stay in the Dallas lineup for the remainder of the season and going into the playoffs.
2 2nds and a potential 3rd rounder. For a 34 year old defenceman on an expiring contract. Flames did fine gents.
The kid they picked up is good. Saw him play today and he is for sure going to be in the NHL . It's a win for the flame
