Jake DeBrusk on His OT WINNER vs Canadiens | Bruins Postgame Interview
Week ago you maybe didn’t know if you were going to be a bur anymore what what’s this whole week been like for you and how good did that feel tonight oh well I’ve been through it before um so um no it’s obviously uh you know I think
That everybody in this room can agree you know it’s a sense of relief when you know where you’re going to be um obviously you see guys come in they’re super excited and just that time of year again right so um you know obviously uh you know it seems like there’s been a
Lot of games in between and just seems like a busy schedule so um but it’s been good and obviously um you know tonight was not necessarily our best game as a team but uh we found a way J coach was just say to he said that too he said it
Wasn’t a Picasso but you find a way how important is it to find your way ugly this time of year yeah I think that that’s kind of you know what you build towards obviously you want to be perfect you want to play your game you want to
Honestly dominate as much as you can but it’s the NHL and obviously they uh I think they responded from the last time we played against them obviously uh I think they changed some things up and I thought they played a hard game so um it was one of those things where um you
Know you give them credit as well as us uh finding way in overtime too I think I think I was told 24th overtime so anytime we can win those around this time here’s nice I’m hoping he’s passing you know I think at that point you’re just preparing yourself for the puck to come
Um and think about what to do after that if it was a little earlyer probably would have shot but um I just felt like I had enough speed I could beat him to the other side so um you know it was a very nice pass by him but yeah you’re
Just hoping for that puck or you know if he shoots you’re hoping for a rebound you know you’re hoping to get a touch on it but uh I was screaming at him up the ice the whole time that he had too so I think I knew it was coming my way did
You uh appreciate all the Bruins fans here tonight yeah obviously they’re always they’re always you know I think we’re lucky as as players no matter where we go on the road and obviously I think uh you know the biggest rivalry probably in hockey um you expect that
You know we heard obviously you know the BT Center here has great fans so we heard when they had swings we heard when we had swings and um I think no matter what the situ ation is or what both teams are doing I think it’s an intense game
MONTREAL — Jake DeBrusk commented on his overtime winner in Montreal, saying, “Tonight was not necessarily our best game as a team but we found a way…At that point, you’re just preparing for the puck to come and think about what to do after that…very nice pass by him.”

I like Jake. I refuse to get on the ''Trade DeBrusk'' bandwagon. He doesn't give up, and we shouldn't give up on him either. If he can improve his shot accuracy by 10% he would be the #2 scorer on the team behind Pasta.
I think JD does things that don’t necessarily show up on the scoresheet. He may never live up to the high expectations of the 14th pick but he’s still a valuable player.
