Rob Williams on Canucks needing more from Lindholm, playoff viewing parties after riot, no Kessel

Rob Williams comments on what the city will look like in its return to the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Tower power, outdoor watch parties, car flags…will they all be back? He talks about a quiet deadline and not getting Phil Kessel content going forward. Plus, Lindholm and who he’d like to face in the first round.

  1. Lindholm is a third line talent. It was a massive over evaluation of the talent & one of the worst trades in franchise history.
The riots bcuz they lost with a whimper.

  2. I think having him as the 3rd line center between Garland and Joshua means we have a great third line that's more like some other team's second lines. If we get four lines firing on all cylinders we'll be hard to beat.

  3. I get why PP is important, but canucks are good 5v5 so they can get it done without PP. PP's in the playoffs is significantly less than the season, so if they are sitting around 23-24% I don't think it's a big deal. Would I like them to score every PP yes, but that is a small percentage of the game when it comes to the playoffs

  4. They absolutely offered kessel a 2 way deal with no guarantee of a single nhl game.

Kessel absolutely wanted 3 to lots of nhl games guaranteed and they gave him 1 or zero.
