  1. That is a horrible deal… No retention slots when you need those slots open every year… WHY? David Edstrom was the 32nd pick… Not as bad as the Guentzel deal though

  2. It’s ok, just start a new franchise with the Sharks and in 2 years you’ll have all top 6 forwards and top 4 defence all elites and both goalie’s franchise potential 👌🏼

  3. Very good trade 👍 sharks dont have players that they can trade So who cares for those retain slots next two seasons 🤷‍♂️

  4. This trade deadline has been insane… this trade Hertl’s a lot but at least he isn’t stuck losing… but yyyyyyy the damn Knights

  5. There is hope for the future though if they can build around the youngsters. Watching Eklund and Bordeleau with the Barracuda was fun (though Simek being gone as well freakin sucks) that they could grow to a great foundation. It’s just a matter of when that future arrives

  6. Should've gotten like some 6ths and 7s I know basically nothing but like 6 years retention should get some future assets for helping them in future.

  7. As a sharks fan I'd like to hear you go over your teams biggest trades since say 2010 then do a 2000-2010 if it's something youd like to talk about /look at.

  8. All I can say is that it feels low. I guess the Sharks like Edstrom a lot (I don’t know enough about him to truly say he’s a W or L) but the fact it’s 1.39 million over 6 years is tough to deal with unless we see a good rise to the salary cap. The worst thing though is that it was to a division rival.

  9. Vegas and SJ have traded so many players in the last couple years, I actually though he was already on Vegas for some reason.

  10. The NHL has got to do something about the LTIR bs which allows teams to stache players there until playoffs and be over cap. Complete BS. The team should always be cap compliant regardless if it’s in the regular season or playoffs. If a guy is truly injured then fine.. leave him on LTIR but if he becomes healthy at any point in the playoffs then they can skate him only if his contract keeps them at or under the cap ceiling . If not then they’d have to sit/scratch another skater or two in order to allow them to play in the playoffs !

  11. Honestly Grier, was smart. Your not going anywhere anytime soon. The Ducks have alot of good kids. The Canucks are good. Edmonton is better. Got to accept, you got to make painful decisions. So you cant retain, but you can eat bad contract.

  12. New San Jose resident and a new Sharks fan here…coming from many years in Vegas. I know the Sharks are struggling this year, especially after this trade and with Couture out, but i think there are better days ahead. Go Sharks.

  13. Wrong side of 30. 2 knee surgeries. It was the right move just wish it wasnt vegas cause now i have to hope he sucks the rest of his career

  14. Good Video. I hate to break your heart, but, I've got a funny feeling, Chicago Blackhawks (one of my favorite teams) is going to Win The Draft & get Macklin Cellibrini. I think that it's going to be a repeat of the time that they got Patrick Kane & Jonathan Toews. Chicago is a master of rebuilds. Let me know what you think
