This is why I love JD. His comments on ref talk is on point. So easy to sit and complain about refs each and every night. Rather focus on actual play and what the Leafs can control. No more crutches.

The cap argument is fair to make but why don't the Leafs struggle when other players with boat anchor contracts are out? They don't miss the other guys at all It is only Marner they miss.
Robertson isn't being kept out of the league because of scoring. All scorers are streaky. It is his brutal defensive play that makes him the expendable one. If he was consistently above the play he would be a regular but he wants to Nylander his defensive effort.
It wasn’t Sammy. He played well.
It's one thing to say it wasn't Sammie's fault, you would still be wrong about that but it's acceptable. But to call a goalie brilliant for letting in 4 goals simply makes your opinion irrelevant
The other team controls the puck most of the time against the Leafs.
