This was not on my radar, but apparently he’s back in pro hockey after getting his malignant hyperthermia under control and on a bit of a tear in the AHL.

That would be awesome for him man, it must be such a difficult psychological thing to get to where you want and then have it torn away for reasons out of your control

Fuck it, bring him home. As far as I’m concerned he’s got at least 5 years of that 6 year contract left.

Wow, great story. I hope he makes it back to the show. I don’t remember much about it, but did our organization treat him right when he left?

Good for him. I hope he gets another shot somewhere.

  6. I think people really underestimate how big of an impact this had on the Sabres imploding. He was supposed to be a pillar of the new core the Sabres built in the early 2010s but basically couldn’t play anymore so we had to get rid of him for nothing. We wouldn’t have been *good* but probably wouldn’t have become bottom feeders either.

    Strangest bet of my life.

I bet my friend that Zack Kassian would score more career goals than Cody Hodgson. I thought Zack was going to be the next Lucic.

I won the bet in unexpected fashion.
