Today we’re going over a trade offer discussed in the most recent episode of the Missin’ Curfew podcast, a show hosted by former NHL’ers Shane O’Brien, Scottie Upshall, and Jimmy Hayes.

On the show, Hayes mentioned how, according to sources he has, the Ottawa Senators are preparing to make a trade to the New York Rangers, which would see 2018 NHL Entry Draft 4th overall pick Brady Tkachuk go over to New York along with the San Jose Sharks 3rd overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft—acquired in the Erik Karlsson trade by Ottawa—in exchange for the 1st overall pick, which would most likely be “Alexis Lafreniere”.

  1. As a rangers Fan I wouldn't do that why would we give up a franchise player for a guy that probably 20+ goal scorer and a second line center when you can have a franchise player you can build around for the future I'm done with this rumours people act like kredior going to be here for that whole contract are stupid

  2. There is probably a trade that could be made here, NY sends 1OA, Ryan Strome's rights, and 22OA for 3OA, Brady Tkachuk and 28OA

  3. you're right, it is ridiculous. when you hear a rumor like this, ignore it. the rangers make this deal every day. as good as lafreniere is, you'd rather have tkachuk AND byfield/stutzle. brady isn't going anywhere. the sens are making him their next captain. you can bet on that because otherwise it would be chabot now. there is no way in hell ottawa does this.

  4. It’s really not as bad as some of you are making it out too be. The first and the third picks could end up being similar to each other and Brady is a great player

  5. Lol they don’t want Lafreniere someone who’s almost as hyped as Austin Matthews but they’ll trade to get a winger in Brady tkchuck makes no sense … they have enough depth to go out and get a second line centre without having to give up a #1 overall pick

  6. I am going to be another devil’s advocate Sam Reinhart was drafted as a center but he is a winger couldn’t do the center position in the NHL even though he lite up the juniors

  7. May be Montréal could be interested because he is a french Canadian and has a surplus of center we will see in a few days

  8. How about for Tkachuk and the five pick? Does that change anyone’s opinion? Starting to look a lil more even now isn’t it?

  9. We no your A van fan..
Dont have to remind us every show
    No disrespect
    I enjoy your gossip
You actually don't need to read at stats chart
    Your fluent and knowledgeable
I suggest listening to Chris Nylan
    Habs 690
He stumps faster speakers and announcers who know stats
    Cuz he in the Game
    Chris Nylan rules

  10. Can we please stop the whole will they wont they talk lol the rangers are not trading the pick. Lafreniere will be playing on broadway next season case closed.

  11. I am a DIE HARD Senators fan. No. NO. Tkachuk is a guarantee player. He will get you 25-35 goals a season for years to come, he does it all. Then #3 overall? That can be Stutzle, Byfield or Raymond and it's more then possible that those guys end up being just as good or better than Lafreniere. Ottawa is trying to do this for fan revenue. They would win immediately in fan revenue but this trade would haunt them for decades. Easy L.

  12. Jimmy and Kevin Hayes are cousins with Keith, Mathew and Brady, is it possible the reliable source which he heard these rumours from is Brady himself ?
