I just thought it was notable as it means that we, technically, control our destiny to finish first overall.
I know, I’d much rather see us do well in the playoffs. Nothing is given, especially after last few playoff appearances…but if you told me we’d be this far this late in the season, I’d be ecstatic.

I gotta say, I was not thrilled with the Laviolette hire, but he’s been pushing the right buttons for the most part. Kinda nice to see the team be somewhat more than the Igor & PP show.
Obviously playoffs is where this team really needs to take the leap, but been a good year so far. Good on him.

It actually does mean something. This was a great season. Regardless of how the next 14 games pan out. I have been out of work so all I have is the rangers for my sanity. I’m not lying when I say I haven’t missed 1 game. Going into this season I had good expectations and hopes for the boys but I had no idea I was going to be getting the incredible season that I got to witness. I can easily say this has been the best season/year whatever you want to call it of my entire sports fan life. This ranger team has remained in 1st place all year long. We have like 20 comeback wins. Just outstanding hockey and they really didn’t quit this year. There are a few games where it feels like we could have done better but I think they know that and worked on fixing mistakes all year. Just watching this team play brings me so much joy to be a fan of hockey and especially the New York Rangers. I witnessed history. Multiple times. Panarins Point Streak to start the season. Jonathan Quick playing lights out hockey looking like he’s 26. Panarin most goals he’s ever had in a season. Jimmy Vesey has more goals than Timo Meier (LoL). The comeback wins. From the stadium series win vs the islanders. Even the Toronto game we lost in the shootout. Im so proud we were even able to just push that game to overtime. This team has made me proud in so many ways this season I want to shed a tear. I remember when Igor was 17-12 and wondering how the rest of the season would pan out. He’s 29-14-2 now. Just incredible. LaViolette has clearly had an effect on the boys. Matt Rempe… there are so many moments this season has given me as a fan and there are still 14 games left. I don’t know what’s going to happen in the future for us but at this money in time I’m damn proud to be fan of the New York Rangers.
We beat Boston/Vancouver/Winnipeg/Carolina/Tampa/Detroit/Colorado and many other really good top teams this year.

yeah but Boston is better at losing sooo…
