What’s wrong with the Vancouver Canucks?

In this video I discuss what is currently going wrong with the Canucks. I analyze every nook and cranny of the forward core’s offensive production, offer some insight and also some reassurance (not that I can actually give any). This is a one-off video in a different style than I normally do. Also, ignore the grid that keeps showing up (that was an accident but let’s pretend it was an artistic choice). Thank you all so much for continuing to watch my videos. I’m so excited to start making more things (watch ’til the end of the video to see what I mean). Cheers! 🫡

  1. PODCAST Q:Hey Nuckhead given the option to keep 3 outta these UFA's who are you keeping and why: Dakota Joshua, Teddy blueger, Casey desmith Tyler myres, Nikita Zadorov, Ian Cole, and Sam Lafferty.

Btw love your content I am a realativly new Canucks fan and your content has helped me become and even bigger one. Keep up the work!!!!

  2. One of the pressers today has Tocchet saying he wants Petey to have fun on the ice. My guess is Petey's been overthinking things trying to play tighter, but causing him to be a half to a full step behind on plays. Lindholm and Petey are both in that boat where they're needing to maybe loosen up without getting unstructured.

Most of the time, the Canucks tend to lose by chasing games too hard and losing the discipline in their play. While Miller plays his heart out, I do still feel that he also tends to alienate some of his teammates at times when things are going poorly.

To me, they need Dakota back to loosen up the 3rd line and go back to anchoring solid play there. This should either free up a player to drop down to the 4th to cause mismatches, or bumped up to stack one of the top lines. Either way, seeing one or two of the struggling top 6 guys(Mikheyev or either Elias') get a bit of Mojo back should give the Canucks more breathing room than their recent 2 game slide would suggest is currently there.

  3. That Minnesota game was horrible for everyone.

Reality is Lindholm has not done well at all. Look at Toffoli, Guentzel.

But this is good adversity in games that matter to most teams. Capitals needed that win, and they got it. We need more from him.

  4. Forwards cant get it done without some real puckluck.Wings arent big or nasty enough.Been trying to carry on with out the push back and their smaller forwards have been ground down. They started struggling when Joshua went down.Since that time points have become more important as teams give it all in a bid for their own playoffs(most of these teams built bigger than the Canucks).Even with Dakota back we will be undersized on our wings in comparison to most play off ready teams.Instead of addressing this problem we landed some defensive center skill that we wont likely be able to resign.G/M not comprehending team neads?Still its the fans that will stear style of league play.Do they want a Canuck style(high skill, high scoring, fast play)or do they prefer fight night hockey.Watch the next 10 games and see.If your team cant grind the other team down they will be cheap shotted out of the building and dont expect ref. help its what is selling now.

  5. Still love the vids even if the teams losing a bit! 5-2 over buffalo and 3-1 over the crabs… i mean habs

  6. disrupting the Lotto Line certainly didnt help and with one 1/3 of the Life Line still out on injury we couldn't rely on that crucial goal to give us some well….life. It's moments like these where I wish the Canucks signed Kessel

  7. 4-3 OT win for the Canucks vs Sabres. Sabres have been pretty decent since they added Bowen Byram and they just fed Seattle 6 biscuits tonight but it is a back to back double header so the Nucks should pull a win. 6-2 win against Montreal but I suspect Wi-Fi and Zadorav will get into a scrap. Also Lindholm should be able to notch some points against these two teams. 4 points sounds reasonable. Also I really enjoyed watching Arshdeep Bains and I hope he sticks around.

  8. The thing with Lindholm is that the team is still better with him than without him. I think we might feel the sting of those lost picks and Brzustewicz down the road, but ultimately I feel optimistic about the team's prospect pool and the fact that we will likely stay pretty stocked in the draft pick department through 2025 and 2026 (I don't mean to alarm anyone but I wouldn't be surprised to see some roster assets go OUT at some point between now and summer '26). Also we would have to not win the cup to regret trading for Lindholm so there's basically zero chance we'll feel bad about it come summer 😎

  9. They were actually overachieving up to the all star break. Now other teams are getting geared up for end of season drives, and Canucks are coming back to reality. They're still fine though, and a load of fun to watch!

  10. The media thinks that it’s the end of the world from the last game even though we were on a 4 game winning streak like what happened to that p.s: recency bias is a drug
