Leafs embarrassments coming. One when they get bounced 4 straight in the first round and two when they have to drastically over pay in the free agent market because players won't want any part of a looser.

The problem with Robertson is his size. The leafs are a very soft team so he does need the proper winger and center on his line. Knies-JT-Robertson could be productive because it has all the elements.
Robertson needs Line 1 work when Marner gets back . Bert and knies on lines 2 and 3

I have to admit I wasn't a fan of the kid, but he's worked his ass off and makes the very best of every game he's inserted in. He's the kind of player this this team needs on their second, third and fourth lines Secondary scoring is critical if you want to be a legitimate contender.
So, I admit I was wrong about Robertson, a small, fast and fearless forward. I'd like to see how he performs in playoff games when the intensity balloons. A lot of players over the decades have been absolute domination in the regular season, only to flop in the playoffs, arner comes to mind in recent years. An absolute gen in the regular season, then get crushed and plays afraid, and fear drains strength and confidence!
I'm hopeful that Marner will become more effective in playoff games as his regular season games also improve, although his point totals at the time last year have sunka wee bit which I believe is related to his defensive improvement, but I do believe he will get the big points along with his defensive game, and some lucky team will love Marner!
Yes, I do believe Marner will be shopped in the off season, he's the only option available of the "core four" who can bring back a solid return, ands along with that, Treliving will have quite a few bucks to build a solid, legitimate defense to compliment our top lines.
Ido have faith in Treliving and he's a smart, cautious GM who isn't about to get sucked into a bad deal, and he's more than willing to hold off for the best deal.
So, this season, the best we can hope for is a first round win against a team that has always found ways to kick out bum! And here we go again!!
So, if the Leafs get past Boston, I can't see this line up advancing through the second round. I've seen flashed of domination from this team, but they always seem to get a solid lead, then gas out trying to defend instead of pushing for more goals, which is what a team has to do when their defence is shakie.
I do like the defense additions, all tough big brutes who will crush scum in the playoffs! I also really like Dewar!! Dude is full out peddle to the metal through the entire game and dude looks like he could be an offensive threat!!
