UPDATE: The #RedWings today signed goaltender Carter Gylander to a two-year, entry-level contract beginning with the 2024-25 season. Gylander will report to the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins on an amateur tryout for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.

This is depth to possibly allow cossa to come up if needed/desired, right?

Husso hurt even further / insurance for cossa to be a third next year
Good article to learn more if anyone is interested: https://colgateathletics.com/news/2023/11/13/features-gylanders-phenomenal-colgate-career.aspx
Seems worth the ELC for sure, gonna be interesting to see him between the pipes in GR
Has anyone ever heard of toothpaste university before?
Throw enough shit at the goaltender wall and something is bound to stick eventually. I’m still holding out hope for Cossa.
A 7th round goalie signing his ELC is already a successful pick IMO
Unlike the complete over reaction is see on X
1. Try out
2. GRG bound
3. Yzerman doesn’t like what he see the cut is no loss
One of the most underrated prospects in the wings system. He was so good last year at Colgate. Poor kid got hung out to dry last year against Michigan in the NCAA tourney in front of yzerman. Happy he got a contract
Maybe battle it out w Bednar next season for GR backup
Him and Trey Augustine seem like good investments, but any word on new defensemen?
