  1. Big mistake to sign lindhom, cost too much to get him…absolute bust, hes a veteran hockey player who should be able adjust to style of canucks play…dont buy that adjustment excuse

  2. I hope Lindholm leaves and Canucks trade Hronek. Resigning these guys will eat up cap space that can better be used on players that can be better fits to address the teams needs

  3. I think if Hronek's at $8 mil and the canucks are at $6.6 mil, it only makes sense that they'd meet somewhere in the middle, if they're both bargaining in good faith, and that's the $7.5 mil range. I think if they can negotiate him below that, they're scoring a bargain, if they get pulled up above that, Hronek's scored himself a sweet deal. Around that and I'd call it even.

  4. I won't be surprised if they are both gone over the summer. We still have tight cap space even with the increase, and we have quite a few studs in development who could make the NHL

  5. If Hronek wants to much Trade him to San Jose. Have fun in the sun being the worst team in the league. Maybe they will be good in his retirement year.

  6. Hronek is an RFA. If he wants more then they’re willing to pay, just pay him is arbitration money…five point whatever million for next season, and shop him in the meantime. Not saying Willander will be ready to fill his shoes right away, but it gets you one step closer to having him and D-petey ready for some potential nhl playing time.

  7. I’m laughing at the fact that hornek wants to be paid more than one of the players or maybe the best player on the Canucks which is Quinn Hughes. This makes no sense. I think hornek’s stupid.

  8. Horn lick can suck a deek. Lindholm trade him back to calgary for kuzmenko. We did calgary a favour and saved them 2-3 million overpayment per season for the bum.

  9. Plus we desperately need a scorer, trading kuzmenko hurt team chemistry. So we traded a natural goal scoring talent, because hes not good at defence. For a defensive specialist who is not good at anything else. Tocchet your a bloody genius. Let scorers score and let defensive slugs which theres a ton of and they are cheap as hell players because its not a sought after skillset compared to lighting the lamp.

  10. If Hronek doesn't re-sign for under $7.5/year… hopefully some team will offersheet him for $8.6/year.
Two 1st, one 2nd, one 3rd…. would be very useful in finding a replacement and to offer potential cap flexibility.

  11. Id rather give Hronek a smidge too much then pay Lindholm way too much. I just dont see value in Lindholm outside of the faceoff circle. Hes still getting comfortable yeah but he has no energy. Hroneks stats are inflated playing with hughes but hes too hard to replace 7.5 sounds fair on a short term deal

  12. I'd see if player 23 will sign 1 year deal to prove his worth long-term. I'd pay him no more than player 8, who plays with plenty of effort on every shift.
