Montreal reporters are just on another level of stupid some of the questions they asked Reinbacher were just straight up head scratchers.

Don’t think Montreal will be hard pressed to add in the top 6 despite some of the hype right now. I think management is comfortable putting newhook and Roy on a line with dach next year.
I think that they’re betting on grabbing a top tier forward in the draft this season not by trade but by selection.

IMO Reinbacher will be a low impact player he will be similar to Guhle a name over hyed but won't really do much to improve whatever team he is on.
Laval plays very sloppy wide open hockey so don't expect Reinbacher to learn anything defensively.
The habs need a couple bonafide stars and acquiring them will be difficult so you need to scout and draft well but seems Hughes is more willing to trade picks and players for mediocrity.
In case people have been living under a rock the Habs have ALREADY been trying hard to make the playoffs just look at Matheson's ice time.
After watching David Reinbacher highlights. His playstyle lowkey reminds me of Matheson lol.

I think management will be buying out a whole lot of guys contracts this off season. As well as putting guys on waivers. We have to make room for like 8 rookies next season. We need to get rid of the underachievers and bring in some solid vets who can contribute if we want to be a contender. We have to figure what out what we are doing with guys like Kirby Dach, Anderson. Gallagher, Harris, Harvey pinard, Evans. The list goes on and on.

I hear you say we are you the same position as last year I’m the standings but you can’t forget the fact of how many one goal games we are on the wrong side of! We are competitive and making strides and when we come out on the other end of those games we will be 30 points better In The standings!

Trade ( Caufiled + a top pick) for a larger, heavier, gritty sandpaper forward who score 25 goals a year. Caufield is soft and easily falls down or bumped off the puck.
Trade a Habs D-man ( Ghule or Reinbacher or Hutson) for a top 6 heavy, larger 6-2+ gritty , sandpaper forward that scores 25 goals a year. Habs are not tough enough with there existing 6 top forwards. You can't win in the playoffs with 9 soft forwards that we have now. Armia, Slav , Suzuki Dvorack are soft puppies that need gritty larger linemates that can score 25 goals. …………………
Habs trade bait. These are the players other teams will want from the Habs ….Caufield, Ghule, Hutson , Reinbacher, Mailloux, Matheson … we have to give up one or two players or (player + draft pick) to get back a top 6 forward who would be an upgrade over Newhook and or Caufiled,
