  1. We were better defensively tonight because Ginning and Attard were playing. Main reason. Big reason. Truth be told. And Sanheim didn't hold back, like he sometimes does, like when Drysdale came in and started eating up some of his time.

  2. Hahaha it never gets old watching that reporter get clowned. He deserves it. Have some integrity.

  3. John, grow up. The reporter who you keep refusing to answer questions, enough with your petty grudge. He is an accredited member of the press.

  4. I love this guy. Hopes he continues coaching in the league. pilly wnjoy him while you got em. he is an overly optimist red neck…… gotta love this guy!!

  5. Wtf did he do to his hand to have a cast on it this long. Been over a month. Hope it wasn't super serious for Torts.

  6. Great coach, great result! Old school coach. If you play poorly, you sit out the game. Coots hasn’t played well, so sit. You can question his moves at times, but if the end result is a victory, that’s all that matters. I love how he shuns the reporter who’s trying to start a controversy, when there isn’t any.Play well and you earn your spot, pretty simple.

  7. I love Coots. Did I think he should've been sat? No. But he's been bad. 1G in 27GP. We NEED him to produce and hasn't.

  8. For real though, I'll sign up for media credentials myself if it means somrone will finally ask him what happened to his arm.

  9. Zamula: 0 goals in his last 18 games
Lycksell: 0 goals in his last 17 games
Attard: 2 goals in his last 22 games
Ginning: 0 goals in brief nhl career
Cates: 2 goals in last 41 games
Brink: 2 goals in last 14 games
Gurianov: 0 goals in last 15 games
Drysdale: 10 goals in 140 nhl games

    Atkinson and Couturier can't score.
Neither can Lycksell and Gurianov apparently

    Gauthier isn't coming.
Michkov isn't coming any time soon…if ever.

  10. Torts is back. We were an AHL team while he was away. When he's back we got 9 goals in two games (BOS, TOR)

  11. Leave him alone and let him Coach. I’m sure he has his reasons for scratching Courtier and that’s all anybody needs to know.

  12. Looks like the Gurianov Experiment is over after 3 games. Nobody in the press will talk about his absence and neither did they ask the coach about why he is out and Deslaurier is in against an offensive team like Toronto. If a 1 goal goon can take his place, then the coach doesn't think Gurianov can score much if at all.

Gurianov has only one modus operandi: north-south hockey with very little regard for his linemate’s strengths or style of play.

He can be seen over-skating pucks regularly and has a hard time defending in man-to-man coverage, particularly when his opponent has good lateral transitions.

Simply put, he’s got great speed, however, his agility leaves something to be desired.

He must adapt to overcome the inconsistency issues that have plagued him this season.

Gurianov possesses a lot of raw skill but struggles to process the game at a high speed.

  13. Young bucks played well!!

Frostbite, I honestly can't figure him out . If he plays with pace and competes nightly, who knows how good he can be!!

Jesus Murphy, that Johnson is shopping cart wow Danny!

We are in tough this last stretch here no getting around it!

  14. Tortorella is like Bill Parcells….he just absolutley takes control from the beginning of a press conference "I'm not answering your questions!" Ha…he still has a gripe with the Snow the Goalie podcast team.

  15. That was a "we want to make the playoffs" win last night. Let's keep it going! I liked the lineup and line combos last night too. Glad to see Frost making an impact.

  16. 🍁Leafs fan here… I don't care what anyone says, I'd take Torts as our coach in TO in a heartbeat. We have too many star players that sometimes act like it, and it would be so refreshing to have a coach who isn't scared to sit them (especially Nylander, who coughs up a gopher (causing a breakaway for the opposing team) at the offensive blue line every game which is typically the catalyst for the loss in too many games (it just takes the wind right out of the team's sails at the worst possible point in the game)). Envious fan here. 😞

GG btw. Here's hoping the Flyers make it to the playoffs.
