I think somebody WILL overpay for him. Edmonton almost makes too much sense. Same with Boston.
If someone offers a 1st round pick, you have to move Laughton. I know we’re making a playoff run, but Briere is building for 2025-26 when Michkov gets here.
Laughton is exactly the type of player who the Flyers trade, and then he wins a Cup elsewhere.

When he came in he wanted top 6 minutes and the coaches and GM did not agree. He got sent to the minors for a gut check and he sucked in his pride and did what the team needed. Hard to find team first guys like him. He will never hit those high point totals but he is a guy who will score the cup winning goal.
Of course Laughts doesn't want to go. He's a FLYER. He's also a guy that can play ANY spot the team needs… third line center, top line… he can be effective everywhere.
