Just because now would be a perfect time
for a rebrand with fanatics and new construction DOES NOT mean we have to rebrand.
We don’t need to fix what isn’t broken and I haven’t seen a single alternative that comes close to being half as good as what we already have.
‘Canes Brand/Marketing minions… if you agree: tell your higher ups the rebrand isn’t necessary, and if they push back just show them this subreddit…. Save the money from paying an agency for something else, or better yet tell Tom that he can save this money to put towards something else.
We dodged a bullet with nucor not being an eyesore on our jerseys (unlike some other teams with garbage jersey patches)…. We don’t need to gamble on a shitty new logo to shoot ourselves in the foot to make up for it.

I also would prefer it not be changed, at least not to anything they’ve shown so far. The current logos are superior to every alternative being thrown around that I have seen up to this point.
I’m in the camp where I’m not in love with it but I’ve yet to see anything better.
I will say, as a fan of other sports teams that have had multiple successful logos over decades of change, l’m completely open to it. It just has to be done right.
Things they should do: redesign the parking lot so it looks like the canes logo from above

It’s not the best in the league, BUT for a logo that was rumored to be rushed it’s pretty good.
Or we could rebrand completely as the Wake Humpbacks and then use the whalers logo, I think the new englanders + Don Cherry would love it.

I honestly LOVE the original logo. It’s simple and geometrically appealing.
