This game showed how much better we are when Oshie is on the ice.
It’s truly fascinating to go on r/hockey when ovechkin scores.
At the game tonight, a few things stood out:
The refs let the teams play for the most part and after the Caps power play goal, basically refused to call another penalty on the Leafs despite a lot of missed tripping calls. The hooking call on Ovi was soft as charmin. Never should’ve been called, but they wanted to “even it up” The Carlson penalty was Carlson being an absolute clown. After that, it turned into a shitshow and the Caps crumbled defensively.
Lindgren had a bad game, he needs to take Friday off and come back mentally ready for Sunday. Some of those goals were just bad.
Carlson looked like an absolute clown the entire game. Especially on Toronto’s fifth and sixth goals… those were just embarrassing.
Ontario Caps fan here… that was a tough L but still 2 goals for the gr8… tough road ahead. My leafs buddies were chirping me all night
