Charlie McAvoy Illegal Check To The Head Penalty Against Travis Konecny

Charlie McAvoy Illegal Check To The Head Penalty Against Travis Konecny

On Target connecting the other way up the left wing just tip it deep and go after mavo is shab a elbow and that one was spotted that’s an elbow and now S I know he’s defending his teammate here but Flyers can get a power play and now de just trying to intensify

It to even everything up here we’ll see how this is all disseminated but the makoy play and he suspended earlier this year Charlie makoy he’s got an edge to his game there’s no question about it and he doesn’t like this call as he’s being taken to the Box sanheim foil all wrapped

Up he appears to be okay maoy in the Penalty Box just just a puck dumped into the corner here and still wondering why he’s got that penalty and take a look at it here TK got a lot of speed Pucks in the corner and just kind of a high hit right in the

Side of the face there kind of before they touch the puck you know kind of dangerous when it kind of get gets in that head area and he’s he is a big boy he’s strong on his skates and know it’s the back referee that got that one trainer doing a little

Job on his visor making sure he can see yeah I’m watching it again it it looked like it was his shoulder but it did make contact with the head so we’re going to see what the calls are Sim’s also got to the box now Coy is going to the Box jimy

Wants to know what’s going on Boston penalty number 73 has 2 minute fighter for a legal check to the Head Philadelphia number six and Boston number 13 each have 2 minutes for ring Philadelphia will have a two-minute power play well there you go we get the full explanation that time from Garrett

Ring we like that that is it’s impressive instead of us trying to figure it out there it is but and there’s sanheim afterwards he kind of wanted to go maoy there as well marshan gets in on him de Bronx gets in on sanheim as well you got to love that

Though sticking up for a teammate sticking up for your best buddy on the team sanheim is sanheim was to connect me and a good old fashioned wrestling match there with Charlie Coyle and sanheim so you got to love that as as a Ben when you were when I was on the

Bench playing you’d see guys stick up for your teammate you know just like I stuck up for teammates and guys sticking up for me it’s a great feeling you have that kind of comaraderie on the bench and just good stuff there by the Flyers and that should give them some juice

Here and now they got the man advant advantage so the perfect timing here for a goal

  1. Konecny lowers right before the hit. What responsibility does the player being hit have to not put himself in a vulnerable position?

  2. Konecny has to do what the Devils lay on the ice call the trainer a little drama club acting

  3. Bros just small the only thing he did wrong was kinda aiming high and his skates went a inch off the ground cry

  4. OK. Bruins fan here…so take this with a grain of salt.
    1. I don't think this was so much a "check to the head" as a guy lowering his head (of course, I grew up with 1970's hockey!)
    2. if it WAS a check to the head…why isn't a MAJOR penalty!?!
I love watching hockey…and want these guys (best athletes in ALL of sports) want to continue to entertain me. Protect them by all means…but "head shots" should be a major, game misconduct and a meeting with NHL corporate.

  5. McAvoy never touched the head with his hit…it was Marchand's nose that clipped Kocecny's face.

  6. This seems like a really odd call. It looks like an elbow to the head, which should be a major and a game misconduct. But they only gave him a minor for contact to the head, which according to rule 620, should also include a game misconduct for contact to the head. In both situations, McAvoy shouldn't have been playing the rest of the game which is also weird, because it seems like they called it wrong no matter which way you're looking at it. 5 min major or 2 min minor, but match penalty is missing on both.

  7. this call makes no sense, not what the penalty is for. that’s all incidental contact that never gets called

  8. Ngl, you guys are monkeys. This is a hockey play. Principal point of contact was shoulder, and he rode up on him. Never left his feet either. Do you REALLY, truly think, that if this was legitimately a major penalty, they would give him a minor? If you do, I’d love to hear the explanation of your logic. Also, I think it’s quite funny how many of you hate the Bruins with a passion- that just lets us know we’re still doing it right. About Jack Edwards… he is the local NESN broadcaster. Would anyone like to take an educated guess as to what NESN stands for? That’s right! New England Sports Network. Obviously he is going to be biased. And making fun of his speech? He had a stroke. Low blow. Even for Habs fans. Yeah, we’re good. Yeah, we have cups. No, you don’t have to hate us. No, you don’t have to support bad calls against the bruins. Realistically, jealousy is a hell of a drug. 👋🏻

  9. Maple Leaf fan here, looked like shoulder on shoulder to me, I never seen him leave his feet 🤔 funny how the comments get soo carried away. 👍😉 It was a high hit cause the guy is bigger, defenceman aren't allowed to be defenceman anymore. 🙄😕
