Arpon Basu of the Athletic joins the guys in studio to preview the game vs. the plucky Montreal Canadiens, and explains how the Habs always seem to give the NHL’s Cup contenders some issues, not to mention a history of BC connections with the team.

Sudden passel of hits.
BRENDEN GAULAGER TRIED ACTING TUFF AGAINST TAMPA 1ST PERIOD IN GAME 1 GOT POUNCHED IN THE MOUTH & HAVENT HEARD FROM REST OF THE SERIES
A lot of last years losses were undeserved imo,, guess umm a homer but honestly I’d watch the canucks last year and think they looked playoffs ish like this year only they actually win
I love Arpon, Montreal is lucky to have him. They were lucky with John Lu when they had him too.
Vancouvers rebuild should have started in 2014. And the Sedins would have agreed to be part of it.
Apron said the Canadiens lost on a really bad missed call. Now this is more proof that there is something really really wrong with the officiating in the NHL for the last 3 years for sure.maybe this goes back farther but by my reckoning things really nose dived on all levels for the last 3 years. This includes linesmen but the number of bad and missed calls LEAGUE-WIDE should be an embarrassment to the NHL. I don’t know what’s going on. Since we don’t know the names of the refs other than a quick shout out by the play by play guys at the start of games. I’m assuming it’s just really poor training in the lower leagues.
These players have some playoff experience. They beat Minny and defending champs St. Louis during the bubble season. They even took Vegas to 7 games the following round . Hughes, Petey, Boeser, Demko were all there. JT Miller also has plenty of playoff experience.
Being inducted into the ring of honour is not a shot it any way.
Why does everyone leave JT Miller out of the discussion of dominant players. Every night JT brings his best effort, it seems bizarre all anyone talks about is Demko, EP40 and Hughes. JT is part of the success of the Canucks as much as any of those other players.
habs need to rebuild ,& that started with shipping out kotkaniemi (their 1st round draft pick)? that makes no sense …also if habs retired carey price, then vancouver would have to retire luongo *but jersey number #1 in the rafters should be shared between bobby-lu & kirk mclean
2:01 saying this to canucks fans is rich dude lol
the retired number tradition is so goofy. Ring of honor is great but the criteria to retire a number in Van is so low. Like maybe win a cup with a career player first and then retire that number.
