Lalonde is such a puzzle just by seeing the fanbase talk about him. From where I stand he deserves to stick around after all we've made huge progress in the rebuild ever since he came along.
We've needed a better defense for the past seven years. It's also not the typical case that dmen just jump on the nhl level/roster out of the gate… Yzerman has always been stating 7-9 years before you get to a contention stage where it will be consistent to feed an organization. I'm happy we aren't last year or the year before. Will it suck if we creep on the cusp and not make the playoffs? YEAH! Is it the time for firing the system? No, that's like 3-4 years out from today (if it doesn't work).
Today as an every man I battled through traffic, but not before I had to fight through breakfast and just digging in to get my kid to school on time. I'm just going to stick with it, one shift at a time and try to get through a full 60 minutes (8 hours).

The Wings must play 60 minute playoff hockey now and through the next 13 games. They cannot play 20 and 40 minute games.
