[Kurz] My understanding of the Sean Couturier situation is that yesterday the Flyers’ coaching staff did review some aspects of his game with him, to give him a better sense of what he can do better — even if he’ll have to wait at least one more game to get back in.

I know how much some people hate this stat, but in the last month that he’s played, Sean is a -8 in the +/-. Anyone think that might be the angle or something?
Well, that’s good to hear.
Also in the last 22 games he has 6 points. He has just been horrific lately. He shouldn’t need to have a coach give him a better sense of what he can improve on. Long story short, all of it. Every part of his game. You have to go back to beginning of February to find when he last scored a point in back to back games. And before that back to early January. He just been bad.
This feels like it should be a given that he would be talking to coaches about improving. Like they didn’t just put him in timeout. It doesn’t help anyone to just say “your sitting”
Maybe the guy is just gassed. He’s coming off multiple major surgeries and hasn’t really played a full season since 19/20. Some folks really seem to have short memories re what he’s been through physically.
It seems he’s scratching Coots for essentially the same reasons he’s scratching Atkinson. And no one has any problem with cam being scratched. If Coots didn’t have the C, would there be the same reaction from the fans/media?
