At the time, he wasn't underrated; people said he had the beauty and rhythm of Snead with the mechanical soundness of Hogan. Probably they did forget his promise too quickly, after he had to quit because of the carpal tunnel.
@jpsartrean ….But of course, if you live in the Tiger age, two-thirds of "fans" today think nobody could ever play a lick before Tiger showed everybody how, so just about _everybody_ in previous eras is underrated–including Nicklaus, Hogan, Jones, Nelson, et al. Everybody knows none of them could play before the "these guys are good" era.
Everyone talks about Arnold P's blacksmith forearms, but how about that huge back/shoulder turn? Obviously his flexible, muscular, back was vital to his power.
Crazy this video only has 42k views and 12 comments with mine. Never commented but I’ve been watching this for years. Seems for some golf started with Tiger or Rickie or Jordan or maybe now Matthew Wolff. You want to be good in this game. Know it’s history, learn from history. Learn about the greats and how they made it there, how they thought. I coach for a living and I know factually, kids today when they watch golf on tv, they look at the images but don’t listen to the commentary. Many don’t even watch. They only look at golf swings online. They don’t know the nuances of the game. They may learn from their coach, but I didn’t play on tour. You learn from history.

Beautfiul… I've always thought Venturi was a very under-rated ball striker.
And a terrible announcer

Venturi was all class, always respectful of the greats that came before him. Thats why they all liked him.
This is totally awesome.
Wow!.. Thank you.
Where was this played

몸통스윙이 정답이네요
Stack and tilt. Every one of them! Straight right leg on every backswing!
