AEW’s Adam Copeland joins the BarDown Podcast to help out with a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey tier list. To little surprise, Copeland and Jesse Pollock can’t help but go at each other.
I don't care what anyone says, there's no way Gretzky is putting up that many points in today's NHL. He'd still be great, but I think he'd be more along the lines of a Steve Yzerman or Joe Sakic in terms of production. Good defense and goaltending will ALWAYS stop offense more often than not. The current NHL has a close out speed of an entire second less than what Wayne's era is. As smart as Gretzky was, he just simply wouldn't have time to do half the things he was able to in the pylon era. Goaltenders wouldn't be allowing his clappers from the top of the circle unscreened along the ice. Their lateral movement is lightyears above any goaltending Gretzky ever faced. Anyone who says otherwise is a delusional boomer who can't accept that the game is 100X better than at any point in Wayne's era.
Why do the Leafs insist on having Toronto Maple Leafs written inside their logo? It doesn’t make any sense. We know who you are and what city you represent, shouldn’t the leaf be enough? Imagine the Blackhawks or the Red Wings defacing their logos, smh. Guess the Maple Leaf on itself simply isn’t iconic enough
Adam must be unaware; "ugly or disgusting to look at." or "extremely unpleasant." are the definitions of hideous. How that couldn't apply to a phone case I'm not sure.

It's not just the training, it's also the rules. That's a problem. Hughes and Makar couldn't have done what they do with the old rules.
I love the Harold Ballard jerseys too. Doug Gilmour was my favourite leaf and he wore them his 1st year.
