Bruins have been playing pretty well coming into this one but the Rangers for whatever reason really have their number and uh you know they have big time players in artmi panan mik zaban Jad hasn’t had the best season um and it wasn’t even Igor shurkin who was in net

Bruins to get through uh to to skate through to penetrate the offensive zone and they didn’t make the right decisions at right times I know he’s probably speaking largely to himself there in that situation um pampus Lindholm added they can be a little smarter and keeping the momentum

Where the disparity was there but in real terms without those empty Nets it was basically a 3-2 game and um you know I hate to say it but Jeremy Swan kind of kind of struggling a little bit these days he had an 897 save percentage in this one of

On coming up in the playoffs you’re looking at lenus allmar right now as your game one starter not to take anything away from Jeremy Swan and his play all season long all career really and not to say that he shouldn’t get some playing time in the postseason

Because we have talked so so much about the importance of this tandem how the rotation benefits the Boston Bruins how their success this season has so largely been built on goal tending uh they would be nowhere without this tandem even if they just had one of these guys you see teams

That have bigger drop offs between their 1 a and 1B or even one two some teams have one two not a one a 1B situation and you see um yeah these planned losses quote unquote with your backup in there you throw them in there on a backto back

Against a much better team but with the Bruins they’ve had an opportunity to win each and every night because of this two-headed goalie monster right now you might want to move away from the rotation because one is playing much much better than the other now next week of course there is a back-to-back

Situation so that will um factor into it they do play tomorrow afternoon against the Philadelphia Flyers then they go back to back in Florida against the Panthers and lightning and then a couple days off before before playing the Washington Capitals and then they have two tough games to begin April in

Nashville and Carolina if I’m Jim Montgomery right now I’m going allar against the Flyers I’d go allar again against the Panthers so that’s two starts in a row give San the next night in Tampa Bay and then you know depending on how those games go but based on recent play I go

Right back to all Mark for the game against Washington that maybe go Omar again against Nashville and then put swan in the game against Carolina so giving all Mark you know this upcoming road trip four out of the six starts instead of three and three that’s just what I would think

Right now perhaps that would motivate Swan to get things going but you have a reigning vzna Trophy winner you might as well ride him while he is super hot and see how things go um and maybe give Swan some time to to sort things out and get

Against San Jose Samuel ersen has been carrying the load in net uh with Carter Hart away for legal reasons on leave he’s got an 898 save percentage uh and again it will likely be lenus omark in net for the Bruins as he’s rocking that 914 save percentage

197 and seven uh this season in 34 starts or 34 appearances I should say Owen tippet hot for the Flyers right now he’s got eight points over his last five games including three goals five assists Boston led by Davido who’s got four goals two assists for six points uh

Justin brazzo also red hot with three goals in his past two games making a big contribution from the uh from the fourth line Philly has the League’s worst Power Play so the Bruins should be able to keep them at Bay that way uh but they do have a third ranked penalty kill which

The Bruins need to be aware of I’m sure they are uh Boston’s P power play currently rolling at uh 23.8% which is good for eighth these two teams not very good in the faceoff Dot both sub 50% uh Philly does have a pretty potent offense they’re 10th ranked averaging um oh

Sorry forget that they’re 22nd ranked with a goals per game of 2.91 the Bruins are 10th ranked at 3.32 uh Flyers allowing 3.01 goals per game Boston allowing only 2 point 73 I’ve said it many times but this is a winnable game for the Bruins although the Flyers could be a little desperate

Seeing as um yeah they’re fighting for their playoff lives here although you might not know it based on the coaching decisions it’s a transition year for them as well they’re more on the rebuilding side than the Bruins are but they’ve been getting some success they’re relying on some younger players
