I don't disagree that there need to be some statements made by Peter Laviollette on players that make mistakes, I don't in any way agree with benching or healthy scratching Chris Kreider. As bad as he can be with Mental Lapses, Penalties At The Wrong Time, Misplays, Sporadic Scoring & Turnovers, he's still one of The Very Best Productive Players & one of the Fastest Skaters on this team. I usually agree with you on nearly everything, but, I've got to disagree a bit with you & others about him. Can you see what would have happened had Jeff Gorton not traded JT Miller. He & Kreider were quite good when they played on the team before the trade of JT Miller over for nearly nothing to The Tampa Bay Lightning? Let me know what you think (I don't believe that you're like so many others that want Kreider gone).
The hockey guy said he feels bad for who ever plays Florida next after a 3 game losing streak. They’ll most likely be hungry to snap their streak. Hopefully they play like they played against them last time (minus the soft goal let up by shesty). Also Laffy with pp1 time can easily be a 70/80 or more point player
Totally agree with your hot take about Boston. I have been saying something very similar,that I believe Bruins will be knocked out in the 1st rd. I just don't think they are as good as there record shows.
I'm going to say it and probably jinx it. Come back here and blame me later. This is a Cup contending team. I base that off the fact that our players are in tune with each other. It appears that they all know where each other is on the ice at all times. The passes, zone entries, defensive positioning, rotations, pinching…etc. This is a well coached team, contrary to previous years where our coach rode the talent. Our two additions at the deadline are perfect for this style and didn't take 15 games (like Kane) to get acclimated to NY. I'm excited. Ready to be hurt again.
