  1. He played Sean C. over 20 minutes a night and ran him into the ground after 2 years of not playing. Terrible management of a player.

  2. The respect with which everyone engages with one another is truly commendable. It's a rare sight in today's online landscape.🌺

  3. Great video, I know how much work it is to research, shoot and edit, but I would still like to have more of that ^^😁😁😁

  4. Guys I'm not only the first NHL analytics professional (1995-96 for the Habs), but I used to crunch games on video using an old Sony VHS player with a shuttle. Most of my systems are still far superior to what's being used today because a lot of people don't understand what analytics really are supposed to do. And yes, I was paid 🙂

  5. Maybe the NHL should create a Video Coach of the Year trophy? Maybe call it the Martin Scorsese trophy?

  6. Torts kept Sean out a second night because they won without him! Let’s not forget it was a 1 goal win against Toronto that wiped them out in game 1! Yes the flyers won in game 2 by one measly goal! Yes it was not Toronto’s best night but if some of those shots off the goal post went in the outcome could have been different! It was a one goal win! I’m glad they lost last night it’s time to make things right with Sean!

  7. This is the fork in the road with Torts and Philly..he’s a tour de force who coaches fabulous moments.

And then there is the ego in overdrive..and being the main name on the marquee

Phillys a team in rebuild with a mild mannered elite and well beloved recently appointed Captain. It might be time to move on from the head strong coach. There’s always a fine line between loving the brashness and a team becoming collectively in retreat ..

  8. Re: Pulling goalies in weird situations: I remember a Rangers game back in the late 60’s or early 70’s, in the last game of the regular season, where they needed a win and needed a lot of goals (I think maybe 8) for the tiebreaker to make the playoffs. The Rags were up something like 6-2 in the third and Emile Francis pulled the goalie and they did indeed get enough goals to make the playoffs. I think that was pretty smart.

  9. The argument to not expand the playoffs because the teams fighting for the last spot this year aren't that good, isn't a good one because…that will change. What happens next year? Hell, what about last year? It was a 2 point difference between #7 and #10. I'm not saying they should or shouldn't expand the playoffs, but can we not be so myopic? I know in today's world people only remember the last 5 minutes but when talking about something like that, you have to look at the bigger picture.

  10. A.I refs are coming. You see the players complaining way too often about linesmen getting in the way and even with the extra set of eyes on the ice they still get so many calls wrong.

  11. How about 3 pts for regulation win rule. That would eliminate alot of cluster in the standings and separate elite teams from weaker teams.

  12. I was at that game when Gordie played for the Vipers. I was 8 years old but I remember it well and am glad my dad took me. Also, Gordie didn’t wear a helmet!
